- Built a multiplayer game server in Node with WebSockets and Postgres. The server owns all the game state, player data persists, and there is a world editor built into the client. It is live at gows.io and shares logins with a Next.js hub over signed tokens.
- Wrote the audio engine from scratch. It generates every sample itself into a streaming buffer, picks the pitch of each hit out of a scale, and snaps it to a musical clock that keeps running at normal speed even when the game drops into slow motion. A low-pass filter follows the slowdown so it sounds muffled.
- Building a 3D game for desktop, web and mobile out of one codebase. Most of the work is tooling: an in-editor authoring layer, deterministic replay so a scene plays back the same way every time, and a live debug readout that has to fit inside the frame budget.
- I run the whole stack myself. One box, nginx, systemd, Postgres, four services plus staging. No platform team.

- Built and maintained full-stack apps handling sensitive records in a regulated industry. Everything was audited, so getting the data wrong was a compliance problem and not just a bug.
- Built and documented REST APIs used by internal teams and outside integrations. Front end in TypeScript and React.
- Built a VIN decoding pipeline on top of external APIs and took a slow manual process off people's desks.
- Tuned SQL queries and schemas on PostgreSQL and DB2 to make them faster and more reliable.
